(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the students at Erin District High School would like to invite the media to attend the Erin Community Centre.

Once again the Erin District High School Senior boys have challenged the Wellington County OPP to a charity hockey game. This year's game is in support of five- year-old Damion LAJOIE who is battling leukemia. Damion was diagnosed in November 2016. Damion's mother, Jo-Anne Carney is a graduate of Erin District High School.

When: Thursday March 9, 2017 at 2 p.m.
Where: Erin Community Centre-Centre 2000 - 14 Boland Drive, Erin
Admission: $2 for students, $5 for adults. (Any donation is accepted)

Donations will be made in Damion's name to the Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC). In addition to cash donations, RMHC is also looking for non-perishable food items, kitchen supplies such as Ziploc bags, foil, saran wrap, and toiletries. Gift cards are also appreciated by the organization to help families during a difficult time.

Inspector Scott LAWSON of the Wellington County OPP and the Town of Erin Mayor, Allan ALLS will be on hand for the ceremonial puck drop with Damion. This again promises to be a fun event and a chance for everyone to participate and contribute to a worthwhile cause.
