Break and enter

At approximately 4:30am on July 16th police attended to a Silvercreek Parkway North business after being contacted that an alarm had gone off some time earlier in the evening. Upon arrival, it was found that the back door to the business had been forced and the unknown suspect(s) had taken a small safe containing a quantity of cash and gift certificates.

Impaired driver

Just after midnight on July 15th, police observed a black BMW motor vehicle driving erratically in the area Speedvale Avenue and stopped the vehicle to investigate. After speaking with the male driver, it was believed that his ability to operate a motor was impaired by alcohol.

The driver fail a roadside test from an approved screening device, was arrested and then transported to the station where he failed additional tests.

Sean Restelli, a 30 year old Guelph resident, was on parole in the community and was bound to abide by certain conditions while on release. He was charged with impaired driving and operate a motor vehicle over .08mgs and as a result of these charges, later released to Correctional Services who had issued a warrant suspending his parole.

Man arrested after threatening staff

At approximately 7:35 pm on July 14th, a 44 year old Guelph man went to the Guelph General Hospital for some non- life threatening medical attention. He was attended to by medical staff, but when he did not receive the particular medication that he thought he was entitled to, he uttered death threats to the attending physician.

Richard Spies was located by police a few hours later and was arrested for uttering threats to cause death. He was later released to appear in court on August 25, 2017.

Wanted Parties

The Guelph Police Service is asking for assistance in locating two wanted males. Jaspal Sidhu and Justin Schlitz (aka Justin Timmins) are wanted for flight from police, obstruct police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. These males will either be in a white Ford pickup truck with Alberta licence plate "BJN8165" or a stolen 2018 black Audi S4 four door sedan.

Both of these individuals are a danger to the public and should not be approached under any circumstance. The males have engaged in multiple police pursuits fleeing at high rates of speed.
