South Wellington OPP Reports - Sept. 28, 2017

SINGLE MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA, ON) - On September 24, 2017 at approximately 2:25 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a single motor vehicle in a ditch on County Road 44, Township of Guelph/Eramosa.

While speaking with the driver the officer observed signs of impairment by alcohol. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

27-year-old Zachary BOUCK of Burlington has been charged with Over 80 and Drive Motor Vehicle while Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. His Driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statue. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 31, 2017 to answer to the charges.

BREAK AND ENTER TO A BUSINESS

(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA, ON) - Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a Break and Enter which occurred on September 17, 2017 at approximately 4:15 a.m. to business on County 124, Township of Guelph/Eramosa.

The business owner attended at the address and reported the theft of gas cans, a leaf blower and other smaller items.

Investigation revealed that three unknown persons entered onto the business property in what appeared to be a dark colour Chevrolet Sports Utility Vehicle. The driver was observed on video surveillance exiting the vehicle and removing three fuel jerry cans along with a stop/slow traffic signal paddle and a backpack leaf blower that was in the rear of an unlocked utility trailer.

The suspect driver is describes as a white male approximately 30-years-old wearing a dark shirt, Nike shoes and a ball cap.

SIDE-BY-SIDE STOLEN FROM RESIDENCE

(TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, ON) - On Sunday September 10, 2017, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a stolen side-by-side off road vehicle from a residence on Wellington Road 35 (Downey Road), south of Guelph.

The vehicle is a red, white and black, 2015 Arctic Cat Trail side-by-side bearing Ontario marker 2DY79. It was stolen sometime overnight, between September 8 and September 9, 2017.
