Harriston - On February 15, 2006, members of the Ontario Provincial Police - Drug Enforcement Section, with the assistance of members from the County of Wellington Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police and the Western Region Emergency Response Team, executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act Search Warrant at a residence in the Town of Harriston.
As a result a quantity of dried marijuana, cannabis resin and drug paraphernalia was discovered. The drugs seized have an estimated value of $760.
Joy Arnold, 19, of Harriston faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Marijuana) and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (Cannabis Resin). Arnold is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on March 20, 2006 to answer to the charges.
The investigation is continuing.
