Drinking & Driving

(Fergus, ON.) - On Thursday March 26th, 2009 at about 12:56am, County of Wellington OPP officers on patrol were advised of a possible drunk driver. Witnesses told police that an SUV was in the parking lot of the "Goofy Newfie" and struck a parked 2008 Ford Escape, causing minor damage and the driver continued on.
County of Wellington OPP officers soon located the 2008 Ford Edge SUV in Fergus, and found the driver had been drinking.
Joseph D. White aged 42 of Fergus has been charged with Fail to Provide Breath Samples and Fail to Remain at a Collision under the Criminal Code of Canada. White is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on April 27th, 2009 to answer to the charges.
