(Harriston, ON.) -On Friday February 12th, 2010 at about 11:40pm County of Wellington OPP officers were conducting R.I.D.E. checks on Elora Street, Harriston.

At this time officers investigated the occupants of a 2009 Nissan Pickup that came upon the checkpoint. At this time police located and seized approximately 70 grams of marihuana and just less than 100 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms) from the teenaged passenger.

County of Wellington OPP have charged a 17 year old Palmerston boy with Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking- Marihuana and Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking- Psilocybin contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The youth is scheduled to appear in Guelph Youth court on March 31st, 2010 to answer to the charges.
