On Tuesday May 27, 2008 the body of 29 year old Guelph resident Corrine
Burns was discovered in a forested area of Norm Jary Park off
of Shelldale Crescent in Guelph. The Guelph Police
investigation determined that Corrine Burns was the victim of a
homicide.
As a result of a lengthy investigation, a 35 year old male
Christopher McDonald, of Penetanguishene Ontario was
arrested today, April 20, 2010 and charged with First Degree
Murder and Aggravated Sexual Assault. He will appear for a
bail hearing on Wednesday April 21, 2010 at 10:30 AM at
Provincial Court, 36 Wyndham St. South.
Further details of this investigation will be provided at a 10:00 a.m.
media conference to be held at the Guelph Police Station, at 15 Wyndham St.
S. Guelph, on Wednesday April 21st, 2010.
