Police Reports For July 19, 2010

1. Suspicious person –Arrest-On July 17th , 2010 at 10:30 pm Guelph Police responded to Burns Drive Guelph on a report that three males were entering cars in the underground parking lot. As officers arrived on scene they were alerted by a large "bang" coming from the rear of Woodlawn Cemetery. The officer found three males standing beside a small, grey pick-up truck that was smoking on the service road that runs alongside the fence of Woodlawn Cemetery. The males ran and one was quickly apprehended with the assistance of PSD Nitro. Investigations revealed that the pick-up truck had been stolen some time earlier in the evening as a result of a break and enter at the Woodlawn Cemetery. 17 year old Guelph male was charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Theft Over $5000, Break, Enter & Commit and Mischief Under $5000 and was held for a Bail Hearing. 2. Impaired Driver-Arrest-On July 18th, 2010 at 10:00 pm Guelph Police received a report of a possible impaired driver on Paisley Road Guelph. Officers arrived and stopped a vehicle matching the description. The driver was spoken to and arrested for impaired Driving. Ken KELEHER 64 years of Guelph was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80 and will appear in court in August.

3. Suspicious Male- On July 18th, 2010 at 12:29 am, Guelph Police responded to an apartment building on Speedvale Avenue West Guelph with regard to a report that a male was yelling obscenities from his balcony. Officers arrived on scene and found that the male was intoxicated and arrested him as he was in breach of conditions from three court orders. Stephen HENDERSON 20 years of Orangeville was charged with two counts of Breach Recognizance and Breach Undertaking and was held for a Bail Hearing. 4. Suspicious Male- On July 17th, 2010, at 1:05 am Guelph Police observed a male that was known to them that was in an intoxicated state. The male was stopped and arrested as he was in breach of two conditions of his Probation Order. Joseph O'KANE 23 years of No Fixed Address was charged with two counts of Breach Probation and Public Intoxication and was held for a Bail Hearing.

5. Break and Enter-Sometime overnight July 18th, 2010 the rear door to a business on Woodlawn Road West Guelph was pried open. Entry to the business was gained and at press time nothing was reported stolen. If anyone has any further information, please contact Cst. 6. Break, Enter and Theft-Between 3:30 am and 4:00 am on July 18th, 2010 an open kitchen window at a residence on Stone Road West Guelph was entered and a lap top computer was stolen. Break, Enter and Theft-Between July 16th and July 18th, 2010 a basement window to a residence on Auden Road Guelph was smashed, the residence ransacked and three firearms, ammunition, a LCD TV, Camera, lap top computer and various household items were stolen. 8. Break, Enter and Theft-Overnight July 17th, 2010 an open kitchen window was entered to a residence on Carter Drive Guelph. At press time nothing was reported stolen. 9. Break, Enter and Theft-Between 2:00 am and 2:45 am on July 18th, 2010 a sliding glass door to a residence on Auden Road Guelph was forced open and a lap top computer, jewelry and cash were stolen. 10. Break, Enter and Theft-Between 9:00 am and 10:45 pm on July 17th, 2010 an unlocked rear sliding glass door to a residence on Auden Road Guelph was entered and jewelry was stolen. 11. Break, Enter and Theft-Between 1:00 am and 7:00 am on July 17th, 2010 the lock to a garden shed on McCrae Boulevard Guelph was entered and two coolers were stolen. 13. Break, Enter and Theft- Sometime between July 16th and July 17th, 2010 an open front door to a residence on Cole Road Guelph was entered and a set of car keys and corresponding car were stolen.
