OPP Arrest Barricaded Male - October 22, 2012

At 4:31 pm, the male was apprehended, without incident, by members of the West Region OPP Tactical Rescue (TRU) unit.
(KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On October 21, 2012 at 9:01 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance at a residence along Whitechurch Street in the village of Whitechurch, Huron-Kinloss Township. Officers responded to the scene and were confronted by a male brandishing a weapon who then barricaded himself in an outbuilding on the property.
West Region OPP Emergency Response resources have been dispatched to the scene to assist the South Bruce OPP with this incident.
Whitechurch Street was closed from Bruce County Road 86 to South Kinloss Avenue for the protection of emergency responders and the public. Since the male's apprehension, Whitechurch Street is open again for vehicle traffic.
The investigation is in its early stages.
