ANOTHER IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING DAY IN COURT
(WALKERTON, ON) – On October 27, 2012 at 3:31 am, a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Yonge Street South in Walkerton stopped a Red Mazda 3. The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol.
30 year old Robin SCHMIDT of Walkerton has been charged with Impaired operation and Operate over 80 milligrams. She is scheduled to appear in court on November 26, 2012 to answer to the charges.

IMPAIRED DRIVER DRIVES THROUGH FENCE AND ENDS UP IN FARMER'S FIELD
(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – On October 28, 2012 at 1:48 am, a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol saw a single vehicle crash at the east end of Durham Street in Kincardine Township. A Black Cadillac travelled east on Durham Street, through the intersection with Millennium Way, continued on through a fence and ended up in a farmer's field.
The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. 25 year old Joel COURTNEY of Kincardine has been charged with Impaired driving and Operate over 80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 26, 2012 to answer to the charges. There were no injuries reported at the crash.

POLICE INVESTIGATING OVERNIGHT VEHICLE ENTRIES
(CHESLEY, ON) – On October 24, 2012, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received reports of overnight vehicle entries from 3 different callers. Sometime during the overnight hours of October 23/October 24, 2012, vehicles were entered on Centennial Street, Tower Road and 2nd Avenue Southwest in Chesley.
The list of stolen property includes an Apple Ipod, 2 Ipod Docks, Cell phone charger, a quantity of loose change and some Canadian Tire money. The value of the stolen property is estimated to be more than $500.

COMBATIVE TENANT CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
(WALKERTON, ON) – On October 27, 2012 at 11:14 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an assault at an apartment building along Jackson Street in Walkerton. Officers arrived to find the Walkerton Fire department had responded to a fire alarm and were checking each unit to investigate the cause of the alarm.
In the course of checking the units, they encountered a combative tenant who became physical with one of the responders. The male was arrested without incident and determined to be in violation of a court issued recognizance.
47 year old Mark HATCH of Walkerton has been charged with Assault and Fail to comply with recognizance. He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for October, 29, 2012.
