Hurricane Sandy - Damage Update in Guelph During the past 12 hours, the Guelph Police Service has responded to the following calls for service that was a result of damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.
- At 7:53 p.m., a downed tree struck a hydro pole at the corner of Gordon Street South and Dean Avenue, Guelph. Guelph Hydro attended, and the Guelph Police stood by for safety and traffic control.
- At 8:54 p.m., a downed tree struck a light standard at the corner of Woolwich Street North and Tiffany Street, Guelph. Guelph Hydro attended, and the Guelph Police stood by for safety and traffic control.
- At 9:26 p.m., a downed tree struck two parked cars in a private drive on Normandy Street Guelph.
- At 9:30 p.m., a downed tree struck two houses on Lyon Avenue, Guelph and damaged the roofs.
