Recall - Reed Diffusers and Refills

This recall involves Pomeroy/San Miguel Reed Diffusers and Refills by The Pomeroy Collection in various fragrances. There are a total of ten products covered by the recall. The Pomeroy Collection Item number appears on the packaging of the Reed Diffusers and on the label of the Refills. The products are listed below.

These products do not carry the mandatory labelling and child-resistant closure as required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 and contain ingredients that can be hazardous if ingested and aspiration occurs. Aspiration occurs when the product is coughed up or vomited after being ingested. This coughing/vomiting could cause small particles of the product to travel into the lungs and may result in serious health effects.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to any Bed Bath & Beyond location for a full refund. In addition, consumers may contact Bed Bath & Beyond 24 hours a day, 7 days per week at 1-800-462-3966 for more information about the recall.

The recalled products were manufactured in China by The Pomeroy Collection of Houston, Texas and imported through Bed, Bath & Beyond Canada L.P. of North Vancouver, British Columbia. The recalled products were sold from May 2009 to November 2012 and approximately 6,461 units of the recalled products were sold in Canada.

Neither Pomeroy/San Miguel, Bed Bath & Beyond nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
