(CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Saturday, December 29, 2012 at approximately 4:00 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a Ford pick-up truck on Garafraxa Street in Chatsworth after the officer, who had been following the truck southbound on Hwy. 6 & 10, noticed it had been weaving within its lane.

The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. After failing the road side breath test the driver was taken to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests. The test results indicated that the driver had consumed over 80 milligrams of alcohol.

The officer noted there was extensive damage to the Ford pick-up truck. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle had been involved in a single motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of Meaford prior to being stopped by police. There were no injuries reported.

Eila-Margaret MCLAUGHLIN, 25, of Minto Township, was charged with over 80 milligrams and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

She is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, January 10, 2013.
