SHOPLIFTER - ARREST
On January 7, 2013 at approximately 10:30 am, two females were observed at Zehrs Markets, located at 1045 Paisley Road, walking through the pharmacy and cosmetic aisles and placing make up packets in their purses. The females left the parking lot in a vehicle and a loss prevention officer immediately notified the Guelph Police Service. An officer conducting speed monitoring observed the vehicle moments later and conducted a vehicle stop.
A 24 year old Guelph woman and a 25 year old Guelph woman were charged with theft under $5,000. They will appear in court on February 15, 2013.

COLLISIONS
On January 7, 2013, members of the Guelph Police Service responded to ten motor vehicle collisions in the city within a seven hour period. Fortunately, no serious injuries were sustained at any of the collisions.
Motorists are reminded of the ever changing road conditions that we face at this time of year and the need to drive accordingly.
