GPL to Hold Library Fine Amnesty Day on January 23, 2013

GUELPH, ON – The Guelph Public Library needs your help! Can you find some of Guelph's MOST WANTED materials – LOST LIBRARY ITEMS? Clean your classroom? Your home? Your locker? Your car? Search everywhere for these hidden items…you'll be surprise what turns up! This is your chance to come clean and to start 2013 on the right foot!

The Guelph Public Library will forgive your forgetfulness for one day only. On Wednesday, January 23rd at all library locations, the GPL will be holding a Library Fine Amnesty Day. This program encourages the return of any overdue library materials that may prevent Guelph residents from using the library's services and resources.

It's easy! Here's how it works:

1. All items must be returned to any library location or book drop between 12:01 AM and 11:59PM on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013 to have their fines and fees waived.

2. For patrons who have an outstanding charge on their account, drop into any library location on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013 to have your balance cleared.

3. Lost library cards will be replaced free of charge at any library location with proof of identification on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013 only.
