Food Recall - Undeclared mustard in noah Martin's Salami

OTTAWA, January 11, 2013 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Heidelberg Foods Ltd. (EST 644) are warning people with allergies to mustard not to consume the Noah martin's Black Forest salami described below. The affected product contains mustard which is not declared on the label.

The affected product, Noah Martin's Black Forest salami, was sold in variable weight packages to customers at the following deli locations in Ontario up to and including January 11, 2013.

There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of this product. Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to mustard.

The manufacturer, Heidelberg Foods Ltd. (EST 644), St. Jacobs, ON is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
