TWO CAR COLLISION
On January 15, 2013, at 2:40pm, a female Guelph resident was operating an Acura, south bound on Marksam Road approaching Willow Road. It is alleged that she failed to stop for a stop sign at which time her Acura struck a Subaru that was west bound on Willow Road.

As a result of the impact the Subaru lost control and mounted a curb, then struck a fence coming to rest on the side lawn of a Willow Road residence. Both occupants of the Subaru, the male driver and a female passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Guelph Fire Department using the jaws-of-life.

They were transported to the Guelph General Hospital by Guelph Wellington EMS for nonlife threatening injuries. A female passenger in the Acura was also transported to hospital. Damage to both vehicles and the fence is estimated at approximately $17,000.00. The female was charged with failing to stop for the stop sign.

Any witnesses to this collision are asked to contact Cst. Dave ALLEN of the Traffic Division at 519-824-1212 Ext # 7155
