DRUG - ARREST
On January 15, 2013, members of the Guelph Police Drug Investigative Unit began an investigation into a male who was believed to be trafficking illegal drugs in close proximity to several schools in the College Avenue area. On January 16, 2013 police observed and then arrested the man who is alleged to have trafficked marijuana to two youths.
A CDSA warrant to search the male's residence on College Avenue West was then executed. Police located inside the residence, a sawed off shotgun as well as various quantities of drugs which included over $1300.00 worth of marijuana, over $600.00 worth of cocaine, and smaller quantities of hash and opiates.
The 50 year old Guelph man was charged with trafficking a controlled substance, 4 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon with ammunition, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless use of a firearm. He was held for a bail hearing on January 17, 2013.

Recently, within Guelph, there have been a number of complaints regarding door to door sales persons and their behaviour. At this time, there is no regulatory body regarding door to door sales personnel.
If there are complaints regarding their behaviour you need to contact each company directly. Many of the larger companies will have complaint departments. Please contact the Guelph Police if you believe the sales people are fraudulent or if you believe their behaviour is a concern for public safety.
