Guelph Police Officer Faces Police Services Act Charges

On January 22, 2013, a Guelph Police Services Constable was served a Notice of Hearing pursuant to the Police Services Act alleging eight (8) counts of misconduct. The seven year veteran will appear at a Public Hearing on Wednesday February 13, 2013, 11:30 a.m. at the Guelph Holiday Inn, (Tweedsmuir room), 601 Scottsdale Drive, Guelph, to answer to the charges.
The Notice of Hearing alleges three counts of Neglect of Duty, three counts of Discreditable Conduct. One count of Corrupt Practice and one count of Consuming Drugs or Alcohol on Duty.
Legislation prevents the release of the officer's identity until the commencement of the Public Hearing on February 13, 2013.
