Serious Collision in Perth County Sends Family to Hospital

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Sunday January 27, 2013, shortly before 10:30 a.m., Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Perth Line 37 and Road 110 north east of Stratford.

Investigation revealed that an east bound Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on Perth Line 37 was T boned by a south bound Dodge Ram pickup truck on Road 110. The T boned pickup truck with its three (3) Sudbury residents was extensively damaged.

The 35 year old male driver of the Silverado sustained major injuries while the 30 year old female passenger sustained minor injuries. They were both transported to Stratford General Hospital. A One (1) year old baby passenger seated in a property used and installed child safety seat did not sustain injuries.

The driver and the 21 year old male passenger from Perth South, travelling in the south bound Dodge pickup truck sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. The driver was found to have been drinking, he was arrested and transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.

Kenneth MOGK (22) of the Township of Perth East has been charged with impaired driving cause bodily harm x 2, and with exceed 80 milligrams blood alcohol, bodily harm x 2. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on Monday February 25, 2013, to answer to these charges. His driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was operating has been impounded for 7 days.
