Woman Wakes Up to Charges After Nap on Hanlon

(CITY OF GUELPH, ON)-On Friday, January 25, 2013 at 7:30 pm Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a concerned citizen regarding a vehicle stopped in the live lane of Highway 6 at Willow Road in the City of Guelph with the female driver slumped over the wheel of her vehicle.

Police attended the scene and observed the female driver fast asleep. Investigation revealed that she fell asleep at the traffic light. Upon speaking with the driver, police discovered that she had been drinking.

Amber Guit aged 31 of Kitchener has been charged with Impaired Care and Control and Over 80mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on February 26, 2013 to answer to the charges.
