Bookmobile to Change Hours and Routes Next Month

Web posted on January 29, 2013

GUELPH, ON For over thirty-five years, the Guelph Public Library Bookmobile has served city residents who cannot visit their local library branch: seniors, pre-schoolers, and after-school program participants. Starting Monday, February 4th, 2013, the Bookmobile schedule will change from a one week to a two week rotation.

The hours of operation will now be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every Monday to Friday. With additional stops throughout Guelph, the Bookmobile will now reach even more customers in the comforts of their senior residences and daycares as well as being able to participate in community events.

In 2012, the Bookmobile checked out over 56,394 items to over 1,653 members at 22 stops. With over 5,400 resources (books, magazines, DVDs, and audio materials) available on this mobile library, customers have the opportunity to expand their reading selections.

The new schedule will start on week one and is available at any library location or on the library's website.
