MELANCTHON TWP MAN CHARGED WITH UTTERING DEATH THREAT
(SOUTHGATE, ON)- On Friday, February 1, 2013 at approximately 3:44 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a threat report in Dundalk, in the Township of Southgate, which resulted in the arrest of a Melancthon Twp. man later that same day.

The accused had asked an acquaintance to give him a ride to Dundalk. Once in Dundalk, the accused exited the vehicle while it was still in motion and proceeded to the victim's residence where he forced his way inside.

The accused, who was agitated and had been drinking, told the victim of his plans to slit an unidentified man's throat in town and then do the same to him. He then changed his mind and suggested they drink beer together. The accused eventually left the apartment and police were called about the incident. The accused is known to the victim.

James Joseph SKINNER, 40, was charged with uttering a threat to cause death or bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, February 28, 2013.

GEORGIAN BLUFFS MAN CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON)- On Friday, February 1, 2013 at approximately 3:44 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a report of criminal harassment resulting in the arrest of a 28 year old Georgian Bluffs man.

Investigation revealed the man has had repeated unwanted contact with his ex-common-law since their break-up in February of last year. Police were called after the accused contacted the victim at her work place in Georgian Bluffs.

On Monday, February 4, 2013 at approximately 5:39 a.m., the accused turned himself in at the Chatsworth OPP Detachment where he was arrested for criminal harassment and held for bail.

VEHICLE DITCHED
DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED CARE AND CONTROL AND OVER 80 MILLIGRAMS
(CHATSWORTH, ON)- On Friday, February 1, 2013 at approximately 8:16 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a Hyundai Accent vehicle in the ditch on Concession 2 in the Township of Chatsworth.

Police arrived and found the driver passed out, holding a can of beer on his lap, while the vehicle was still running. The driver was arrested for impaired care and control of a motor vehicle and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests which indicated he had consumed over 80 milligrams of alcohol.

Michael E. SMITH, 32, of Chatsworth, was charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and over 80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on February 14th, 2013.

BREAK, ENTER AND THEFT OF SNOWMOBILE
(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON)- On Friday, February 1, 2013, at approximately 11:33 p.m., Grey County Ontario Police (OPP) received a report of a break-in at a residence on Road 45 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The homeowner noticed that the residence had been forcibly entered but that nothing appeared to have been taken. Snowmobile tracks were observed coming out from the garage. Culprit(s) had entered the garage and removed a 1996 Lowden MXZ snowmobile. The ski-doo was yellow in colour with red graphic. The skis were painted black, red and yellow.
