ACCUSED FACING 4 COUNTS OF THEFT
(WALKERTON, ON)- The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in 4 different theft incidents:

>> On January 25, 2013 at 3:15 pm, groceries were reported stolen from the Wright's Food Market in Walkerton.
>> On January 25, 2013 at 12:17 pm, liquor was reported stolen from the LCBO store in Paisley.
>> On January 16, 2013 at 5:53 pm, liquor was reported stolen from the LCBO store in Walkerton.
>> On January 5, 2013 at 3:11 pm, an I pad was reported stolen from the Wright's Food Market in Walkerton.

The South Bruce OPP investigated these incidents with the assistance of the South Bruce OPP crime unit. The investigation culminated on February 3, 2013 with an arrest. 48 year old Christine SOWA of Elderslie Township has been charged with 4 counts of Theft under $5,000. She has been in held in custody pending the result of a show cause hearing scheduled for February 4, 2013 at 2:00 pm.

DISQUALIFIED DRIVER FOUND DRIVING
(WALKERTON, ON) - On February 3, 2013 at 11:21 pm a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol stopped a Green Ford pick-up truck on McNab Street in Walkerton. The officer found that the driver was driving without a licence.

32 year old James Robbins of Clifford has been charged with Drive disqualified and Drive without approved ignition interlock. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 18, 2013 to answer to the charges.

COMMUNITY MAILBOX ENTERED
(HURON TWP, ON)- On February 2, 2103 at 10:19 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report that the community mailbox on Hill Street in Huron Township had been forcibly entered. Officers attended and found that 3 locks had been cut off allowing access to the individual mailboxes. Stealing items from the mail is a criminal offence called Theft from mail which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

POLICE INVESTIGATING OVERNIGHT BREAK INS
(RIPLEY, ON) - On February 2, 2013 at 8:14 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a commercial break in at Ripley Welding and Machine Shop in Ripley. Sometime between 4:30 pm on February 1, 2013 and 6:30 am on February 2, 2013, the business was forcibly entered through a pedestrian door on the side of the building.

Officers were advised that M.R. Nicholson trucking had also been entered overnight. This business was also forcibly entered through a pedestrian door on the side of the building. There are no items reported stolen at this time for either business.
