Guelph Police Arrest Three For Fraud - February 26, 2013

On February 23, 2013 at 3:55 p.m., the Guelph Police Service was alerted to fraudulent transactions being conducted at various retail stores within the city. Uniform officers located the suspect vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade, and arrested three adult males. Subsequent to the arrests, a search of the vehicle discovered over $8000 in merchandise and cash.

Achim ALCEE, 29 years of Milton, Steven BORDI, 29 years of Mississauga has been charged with possession of forged credit card and possession of property obtained by crime.

A third man, 29 years of Toronto was also charged with possession of forged credit card and possession of property obtained by crime, as well as breach of probation. The charges against the 29 year from Toronto have been dropped in February 2017.

All three appeared in Court on February 27, 2013. The investigation is continuing.

Retailers are reminded to be vigilant and report fraudulent transactions.
