Guelph Police Arrest Three For Fraud - February 26, 2013

On February 23, 2013 at 3:55 p.m., the Guelph Police Service was alerted to fraudulent transactions being conducted at various retail stores within the city. Uniform officers located the suspect vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade, and arrested three adult males. Subsequent to the arrests, a search of the vehicle discovered over $8000 in merchandise and cash.

Achim ALCEE, 29 years of Milton, Steven BORDI, 29 years of Mississauga and Daniel BORUCH, 29 years of Toronto have all been charged with possession of forged credit card and possession of property obtained by crime. BORUCH was also charged with breach of probation.

All three will appear in Court on February 27, 2013. The investigation is continuing.

Retailers are reminded to be vigilant and report fraudulent transactions.
