With The Grain Launches New Menu on Feb. 27, 2013

Inspired by her staff and past experiences, owner Sheri Bishop and our kitchen crew have designed a new hot breakfast menu that is delicious, completely made from scratch, and has a delightful sense of play. We are re-opening on Wednesday, February 27th with our new menu and new hours.

You'll find unique meals like our Breakfast Tamales with Fried Eggs and Grilled Peppers and our Smoked Trout with Poached Egg and Butternut Squash and Potato Hash. Of course we'll also have the classic Bacon and Eggs that everyone loves, and our versions of classic breakfast foods like our WtG Oatmeal made with toasted quinoa, spelt flakes, and rolled oats, and our Papa's Oatmeal Pancakes that Sheri's dad used to make for her. Rest assured, we'll still be offering all of our house-made soups, sandwiches, and sweets at the Café too!

In our usual style, we will be making everything from scratch using high quality ingredients. From making our own salsa and ketchup to smoking the trout ourselves, we'll be doing it all! Our baked goods are all made fresh daily from our bakery located across the street.

To ensure we're making the best breakfast in town we also had to make sure we were using the best ingredients, so we've found delicious nitrate free bacon from The Harvest Table, an Elmira based butcher that roasts, brines, cures, and smokes their meat in-house, and we'll be getting our eggs from Homestead Farm, a free run farm located in Newmarket.

Our new hours will be:
the Café – Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 4pm
the Bakery – Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 4pm
