CHESLEY MALE ARRESTED FOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION
(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) - On Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at approximately 1:40 p.m. an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling the Grey Bruce Line in the Township of Chatsworth when she observed a male party standing along the side of the road hitch hiking. The male showed extreme signs of intoxication and when the officer attempted to assist him, he became belligerent and threatened to cause her bodily harm.

The 47 year old Chesley man was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Chatsworth Detachment where he was held until sober. He was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for public intoxication under the Liquor Licence Act.

SNOWMOBILE OPERATOR INJURED ON OFSC TRAIL
(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) - On Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at approximately 3:35 p.m. Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an injured man as a result of a snowmobile collision on the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trail in the Municipality of Meaford.

The victim was operating his 2011 Polaris S11 600 snowmobile on the OFSC trail north of Grey Road 12, west of the 7th Line in the Municipality of Meaford. He was coming out of a bend when he lost control of his vehicle and was ejected. There were no passengers. The victim's wife, who was operating her own sled, came upon the collision and called 9-1-1.

Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) and police used snowmobiles to reach the victim. The Meaford Fire Department assisted in extracting the victim, a 55 year old Inverhuron man. He was transported via air ambulance (which happened to be in the area) to the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre in Owen Sound with non-life threatening injuries.
