Male arrested for impaired driving
On March 9th 2013, at approximately 2:30am Guelph Police located a motor vehicle driving erratically in the area of Woodlawn Road at Arrow Road.

Investigation determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and he was arrested.

Douglas HOFFMAN, 35 years of Cambridge has been charged with Impaired Driving, and Drive over 80. He will appear in court on April 23rd, 2013.

Fight downtown leads to arrest
On Sunday March 10th, 2013 at approximately 3:30 a.m. police were called to a disturbance in front of the Vinyl Nightclub located at 52 MacDonnell Street. Investigation revealed that two males had entered into a physical altercation which resulted in a 19 year- old male being knocked unconscious. The suspect, a 26 year old male fled the scene on foot and was pursued and apprehended by Police.

The 19 year-old victim was subsequently transported to the Guelph General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Dominic LONGO, 26 years of Guelph was charged with Assault and will appear in court on April 23rd, 2013.

Man Bitten by Dog
On Sunday March 10, 2013 at 3:15pm, a male was standing at the corner of Waterloo Avenue and Glasgow Street when he was approached by a male walking a dog. The approaching male asked the victim to move out of his way. As the victim stepped to the side, the dog bit the back of his leg. The victim did not require medical attention, but suffered a laceration and bruising to the back of his leg.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, and are asking the dog owner to contact them as soon as possible to verify the dog is up to date on its vaccinations.

Robbery
On March 9, 2013 at 4:30pm, a Guelph woman was in the laundry room of her apartment building when the victim, a second Guelph woman, walked past. The woman started yelling at the victim and then pushed the victim into the wall, grabbed her wrist and stole the victims phone. The woman then threw the phone against the wall causing the phone to break.

A 53 year old Guelph woman was arrested for Robbery & Mischief Under. She will appear for a Bail Hearing on Monday, March 11th, 2013.
