Recall - Flex Seal Rubber Sealant Aerosol Cans

This recall involves the following products by Swift Response LLC:

Flex Seal Liquid Rubber Sealant Coating aerosol can. The recalled product is sold in 14 oz spray cans sealed with a black plastic lid. The can is identified by the following UPC code: 855647003019.

Flex Seal Brite Liquid Rubber Sealant Coating aerosol can. The recalled product is sold in 14 oz spray cans sealed with a white plastic lid. The can is identified by the following UPC code: 855647003118.

The recalled products do not meet the labelling requirements for consumer chemical products under the Consumer Chemical and Container Regulations, 2001.

The products lack the bilingual warnings and hazard information required for flammable products sold in Canada. These omissions could present a significant risk that may result in serious harm.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Flex Seal and Flex Seal Brite aerosol cans. Customers of Showcase can return the product to Showcase to exchange for a replacement Flex Seal can with a bilingual label.

The affected aerosol cans were manufactured in the USA by Swift Response, LLC, Weston, Florida and distributed through Bed Bath and Beyond and Showcase. The recalled products were sold from October 2011 to February 2013 in Canada.

Approximately 162,000 of the recalled Flex Seal aerosol cans were sold at Showcase retail stores across Canada.

Approximately 4,282 of the recalled Flex Seal aerosol cans were sold at Bed Bath and Beyond retail stores across Canada.

Approximately 133 of the recalled Flex Seal Brite aerosol cans were sold at Bed Bath and Beyond retail stores across Canada.

Neither Health Canada nor Osiris Inc. nor Bed Bath and Beyond has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these products.

Customers of Canadian Bed Bath and Beyond stores can return the product to any Bed Bath and Beyond for a full refund. For more information, consumers may contact their nearest Showcase Store.
