Police Continue To Investigate Elora Armed Robbery

(VILLAGE OF ELORA, ON) On January 15, 2014 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding an armed robbery at the Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy located on Geddes Street in the Village of Elora.

The suspect demanded narcotics from the pharmacy employee. He was given a small quantity of pills prior to fleeing the scene. A firearm was seen by the witnesses.

The suspect is described as:
- Younger white male with a slim build and approximately 5'10
- Late teens
- Blue eyes
- Bandana over face
- Green winter jacket with a hood

The male was last seen running southbound on Geddes Street away from the drugstore.

The investigation is still ongoing at this time and more information will be released as it becomes available.
