MISCHIEF AT CAR WASH

(ST.MARYS, ON) Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to the Little Falls Car Wash on Queen St. West in St.Marys, where damage was reported to a number of vending machines.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 8 p.m. and 11p.m., on Sunday February 16, 2014, an unknown person(s) entered the car wash / Laundromat and made forceful attempts to access money in the washers, dryers and other vending machines. Although the attempts were unsuccessful, extensive damage was caused to the machines.

The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone with information about this crime to contact them at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.

YOUTHS CHARGED WITH SHOPLIFTING

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) - On Friday February 14, 2014 Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers while investigation an occurrence at a residence in Listowel discovered that some items at the residence had been stolen.

Investigation into the origins of the property indicated it had recently been shoplifted from four local merchants. With the help of store surveillance it was possible to determine where the property originated and when it was stolen.

Two female Municipality of North Perth Youths aged 14 and 15 have each been charged with ten counts of "theft under $5,000 shoplifting". They will have to appear before a Youth Court Justice on Wednesday March 19, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel to answer to these charges.

MALE ARRESTED FOR FOOD BASICS BREAK-IN

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) - On Tuesday February 18, 2014 shortly before 5:30 a.m. a Food Basics employee located a male in the rear storage section of the store. The male left the building as the employee contacted the police.

Within minutes, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers located a male matching the description of the suspect on Wallace Ave. North. The male was attempting to hide behind a snowbank. Officers followed the male's footprints in the freshly fallen snow directly back to the Food Basics store.

Darryl BOUDREAU (51) of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with "break, enter and theft", possession of break-in instruments", "possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000", "mischief under $5,000". He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on Wednesday March 19, 2014 to answer to these charges.
