OPP Arrest Man In Mailbox Thefts - February 24, 2014

(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received numerous reports in Centre Wellington Township and Guelph-Eramosa Township about Canada Post Community Mailboxes being forced open. The incidents occurred between the dates of February 14 to February 21.

Wellington County OPP Street Crime Unit (SCU) took over the investigation and on February 22, 2014, a Fergus male was arrested.

Richard CUTTING age 31 of Fergus is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, Resist Arrest, Mischief Under $5000 and Breach of Undertaking all contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear in Guelph Bail Court on February 24, 2014 to answer the charges.

The investigation is continuing.
