OPP Officer Injured In Three Vehicle Collision

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a motor vehicle collision involving an OPP cruiser and two other vehicles. The collision occurred at approximately 12:25 p.m. on February 24, 2014 on Wellington Road 19 between 2nd and 3rd Line, Centre Wellington Township.

Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the officer to a local hospital by ambulance with non life threatening injuries.

OPP Highway Safety Division Reconstructionist and Wellington County OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are assisting with the investigation.

Centre Wellington Fire Rescue Department attended the scene.

Wellington Road 19 will remain closed between 2nd and 3rd Line, Centre Wellington Township for the investigation.
