Motorists Asked Not to Travel In Poor Weather Conditions

(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has been responding to numerous motor vehicle collisions this morning in Wellington County. Poor visibility due to blowing snow has made driving conditions very poor.

Centre Wellington Township has pulled Snow Removal Equipment off all roads.

Police want motorists to consider postponing travel plans until the weather improves. If you need to venture onto the roadways today consider carrying an emergency kit;

The kit should include:
Flashlight and spare batteries
Radio or crank radio
First aid kit
Non-perishable food items, bottled water
Candles and matches or lighter
Extra car keys and cash
Important papers (identification for all family members, insurance papers)
Blankets and sleeping bags
Personal supplies
Medication
Whistle
