Guelph Fire Responds To Auto Work Shop Fire

GUELPH, ON, March 3, 2014 Guelph Fire Department responded to a reported fire at the above noted location. Units from Clair Rd, Stone Rd and Wyndham St stations arrived at the scene and found heavy black smoke and fire coming from an auto work shop. First arriving crews started an interior fire attack.

The crews encountered dangerous fire conditions so they exited the building. Fire crews then changed tactics and fought the fire from outside the building. The fire was brought under control and extinguished.

There were no injuries.

It was determined that the cause of the fire was a wood burning stove. There was no estimation of dollar value at the time of this report.
