Recovered Items Are Retured to Rightful Owners

Web posted on March 20, 2014

(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) Every year Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers come into possession of property that is either turned in or seized as a result of a police investigation.

Items that can be positively identified by their owners are returned. However many items are unclaimed such as, bicycles, tools and electronics and will eventually go to auction if the owners do not come forward.

Wellington County OPP would like to encourage you to protect your property by photographing items and recording serial numbers. Engraving your driver's licence number, licence plate number or telephone number on your property will also assist police in returning property if it comes into the possession of the Police.
