Fight turns to weapons call and arrest

Updated on February 03, 2016 - The defendant did agree to a peace bond that was to last 12 months, ending in November 2015.


On March 22, 2014 at 3:11 a.m., the Guelph Police went to the Stone Road Mall to investigate a disturbance. Investigation alleges that two males were sitting in an eating establishment when two other males entered.

One of the males came over and took food. A verbal argument ensued and was taken outside where it became physical. One of the males that had entered and took food brandished and used a knife, cutting the other males finger.

Guelph Wellington EMS attended but the injury was minor and did not require medical assistance. Police arrested the male at the scene.

A 19 year old man from Markham has been charged with assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous. He will appear in court on April 29, 2014.


Noisy party call leads to arrest

On March 23, 2014 at 12:30 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a noisy party complaint on Harrow Court. Upon arrival, officers discovered a smashed window. The alleged responsible male had fled but was located nearby and arrested.

The male was bleeding from his wrist and was taken to hospital for medical treatment. While at the hospital, he became aggressive with staff and spit at officers.

Adam Micieli, 22 years of Bolton has been charged with mischief under $5,000, cause disturbance and assault police. He will appear in court on May 2, 2014.


Drive over 80mg arrest

On March 23, 2014 at 2:25 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the area of Edinburgh Road after observing traffic violations. Police spoke with the male driver and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. He failed this test and was arrested.

Adam PURDY, 26 years of Brantford has been charged with drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court on April 11, 2014.


Impaired driver arrested

On March 23, 2014 at 8:38 a.m., the Guelph Police went to Paisley Street after receiving a call that a male was driving a motor vehicle and struck a parked car. Police located the male and he was arrested.

Pasquale MANCUSO, 27 years of Guelph has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court on April 11, 2014.


Police cruiser involved in collision

On March 23, 2014 at 4:53 p.m. a Guelph Police cruiser and a second vehicle were involved in a collision on Clair Road West . It is alleged that the cruiser was west bound on Clair Road just west of Gordon Street when it collided with another vehicle exiting a private drive.

Three adults were taken to hospital where one was found to have a serious injury as defined under the Regulation of the Police Services Act. The S.I.U. was notified and have invoked their mandate. As usual, the Guelph Police will co-operate fully with the S.I.U. investigation.

As regulated by the Police Services Act the S.I.U. will issue any further media releases on this matter until such time as a decision is rendered by the S.I.U.
