Voyeurism charges laid

On March 24, 2014, the Guelph Police went to a Kortright Road residence for the complaint that a male had been videotaping his female roommates. Investigation alleges that on three occasions he had set up an electronic device in the residence to record private activity.

Scott THOMAS, 21 years of Chatham has been charged with three counts of voyeurism. He will appear in court on May 2, 2014.

Break and enter

On March 24, 2014 at 6:36 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Princeton Place residence to investigate a break and enter. Sometime during the day, culprit(s) entered through the rear patio door and stole a quantity of jewelry and cash.

Property damage investigated

On March 24, 2014 the Guelph Police went to Jean Little School on Youngman Drive for a property damage complaint. Investigation determined that someone had set a small fire by the back door of the school sometime over the weekend. There was no damage caused in this incident.

Property damage - arrest

On March 25, 2014 at 2:08 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Brant Avenue apartment for a male committing damage to property. Investigation alleges that the male had damaged water lines to the washing machines, cut the lock of the storage room, pulled the fire alarm and threatened the life of the superintendent. Police attempted to arrest the male but he was uncooperative and resisted.

A 23-year-old Guelph man has been charged with mischief to property under $5,000, utter threats, false alarm of fire and resist arrest. He has been held in custody and will appear in court on May 26, 2014.
