Police Investigate Stolen Road Signs - March 26, 2014

(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report from the Township that there has been a rash of thefts over the past few weeks in Mapleton Township.

Approximately 10 road and traffic signs have been removed from several locations. They range in from stop signs, bridge markers, dead ends and snowmobile crossings. All the signs have been replaced. Presently there are no suspects.

Lives are put in grave danger when someone removes and steals a sign. This is considered theft and is a very serious offence.
