Police Investigate Theft Of Pickup Truck - March 27, 2014

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) - On Wednesday March 26, 2014, a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol observed a suspicious pickup truck driving around the industrial area of Herbert St in Mitchell.

The officer observed the vehicle travel west bound on Frank St. at a high rate of speed and located it a short time later hung up on a snowbank at the end of Frank St. The driver had fled the scene. A search of the area failed to locate the driver. The vehicle was found to have been stolen from a residence on Toronto St. East in Mitchell shortly before it was observed by police.
