Police Make Arrest After Deseased Man Found

On April 4, 2014 at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Guelph Police received a call from 6 Elizabeth Street reporting a deceased male. Guelph Police and ambulance attended and located a deceased male in the home.

Investigation revealed that in the early evening April 3, 2014 there was a physical altercation between the deceased and another male at the address where the deceased male was located. On April 4, 2014 the Guelph Police arrested a 29-year-old Guelph male for Second Degree Murder.

The male will appear in Guelph court on April 4, 2014.

The victim is as a 42-year-old Guelph resident. The identity of the victim will not be released pending notification of next of kin. The accused and the victim are known to each other.

The investigation is in the early stages and is ongoing.
