On April 6, 2014, at 3:40 p.m., the Guelph Police went to MacDonell Street and Wellington Street to investigate a collision. It is alleged that a 46-year-old Guelph male, operating a 2001 Toyota van, was travelling westbound on Macdonell Street.

The driver and front passenger, a 42-year-old Tecumseh female were trapped and unable to exit the vehicle. The Guelph Fire Department extricated the driver and front passenger from the overturned Dodge.

All occupants of the Dodge were transported to the Guelph General Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Toyota was not injured. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage with an approximate value of $15,000.
