Guelph Police Release Identity of Homicide Victim

On April 4, 2014, the Guelph Police Service attended to 6 Elizabeth Street where a deceased 42-year-old Guelph male was located. The subsequent police investigation led to a 29-year-old Guelph male being charged with second degree murder and breach of probation. The victim did not reside at the Elizabeth Street address.

The victim has been identified as Joseph Brillinger.

The accused has been identified as Michael Clayton. Clayton has been remanded into custody with a next court date of April 29, 2014.

The investigation is ongoing and the Guelph Police are requesting anyone with information to contact CRIMESTOPPERS or the Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212 X 7331, D/Sgt Manfred Hoyer.
