Cyclist struck

On April 7, 2014 at 11:09 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Dawson Road to investigate a cyclist struck by a motor vehicle. It is alleged that the motor vehicle failed to yield for the cyclist, striking him.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act.


Mall Toll

The Guelph Law Enforcement Community is hosting a "Mall Toll" to support Law Enforcement for Special Olympics. Members of Local Law Enforcement Agencies along with Conestoga Police Foundation Students will be holding a "MALL TOLL" on Saturday April 19, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

They will be set up at parking lot exits, asking people for voluntary donations as they exit the mall.

"This is a great partnership for the Torch Run and Special Olympics Ontario," said Chair (Dave Pringle) of the Guelph Police Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run. "We thank the Stone Road Mall for their ongoing support for this great cause, as well as the Guelph Community who have supported us year after year to help our athletes locally and provincially achieve and reach beyond their goals.
