Break and enter

On April 13, 2014, the Guelph Police investigated a break and enter at Barber Scout Camp located on Stone Road. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between April 12, 2014 at 2:15 p.m. and April 13, 2014 at 2:15 p.m.

Culprit(s) cut locks off storage containers and smashed a window to gain entry to the main building. The building was ransacked and fire alarms were smashed. No theft is reported.

Bank robbery downtown - Arrest

The Halton Regional Police are investigating a series of bank robberies that have occurred between January 3rd and April 8th 2014.

Police allege the same suspect is responsible for eight robberies in Burlington, Oakville and Kitchener.

On April 15, 2014 at 2:20 p.m., Halton Police followed a suspect to the City of Guelph where he was observed entering a Bank of Montreal on Wyndham Street before an arrest could be effected.

The suspect exited the bank several minutes later and was arrested without incident by police at which time it was revealed that he had just committed a robbery inside the bank. All money from this robbery was recovered.

Danny William MILLER, 49 years of No Fixed Address has been charged with nine counts of robbery and nine counts of wear disguise while committing robbery. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
