Theft from cars - arrest

On April 17, 2014 at 1:00 a.m., the Guelph Police went to the area of Terry Boulevard and Kirsten Avenue regarding a male rummaging through motor vehicles. Police located the male and upon investigation discovered he was in possession of stolen property and he was arrested.

A 43-year-old Guelph male has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Drive over 80 mg - arrest On April 16, 2014 at 12:46 p.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Kron Drive. Police spoke with the female driver and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample.

She failed this test and was arrested. Rebecca MOORE, 41 years of Guelph has been charged with drive over 80 mg. She will appear in court on May 2, 2014.

Shoplifter arrested

On April 16, 2014 at 12:20 p.m., the Guelph Police went to the Walmart on Woodlawn Road to assist with a male observed cutting products out of their packaging. Police located the male and he was arrested. Further investigation determined that he had stolen items on him and that he was on probation.

The male was also on a trespass order issued by Walmart. A 48-year-old Palmerston man has been charged with mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000 and breach probation. He was also charged with enter premises when entry prohibited under the Trespass to Property Act. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
