Guelph Police Association Launch New Website

Web posted on April 22, 2014

The Guelph Police Association (GPA) strives to unite fraternally and to promote the mutual interests of our members who work within the Guelph Police Service (GPS). We work to uphold the honour of the police profession and to elevate the standards of policing.

With the cooperation of the senior administration of the GPS, we are dedicated to providing our members with a healthy and safe working environment given the challenges we face.

Along with promoting the individual and collective rights and interests of our members, we endeavour to promote a healthy and strong relationship with our community. A great deal of our membership is made up of men and women who not only work in Guelph but live in Guelph. We have a vested interest in making our community the safest and best community it can be.

We are your neighbours, maybe your child's coach or perhaps the volunteer you see assisting with one of many great causes. We take a great deal of pride in our efforts in giving back to our community and hope that some of what we do improves the quality of life and sense of safety for you and your family.

The history of the GPA is a proud one and our future is bright as we continue to work on behalf of our member's and our community in making Guelph one of the best communities in which to live, work and play.

On March 17, 2014 the Guelph Police Association launched its own website in an effort to provide a closer link to our community. Within this website you will find informative news articles and important community links.

You will have an opportunity to see the types of Community functions our officers are involved in outside of policing, as well as having a glance at the "GPA Honor Roll" that is dedicated to the memory of those Guelph officers that made the ultimate sacrifice to keep this community safe.

We invite you, the public, to come and visit us at www.guelphpa.ca and let us know how we are doing.
