Indecent act investigated

On April 23, 2014 the Guelph Police investigated the report of an indecent act. It is alleged that at approximately 8:45 a.m. a female was walking on Vancouver Drive when she was approached by a vehicle.

The male driver pulled up and asked the female for directions. When she approached the passenger window to give directions, she observed the male with his penis out of his pants and he was masturbating.

The male is described as white, 25-30 years, unshaven with brown short hair. He was wearing a coloured striped t-shirt, jeans and had black sunglasses on.

The vehicle is described as a silver four-door vehicle, possibly a hatchback Volkswagen golf. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please contact Cst. B. Police deal with barricaded male

On April 23, 2014 at 8:16 p.m., the Guelph Police went to an Edinburgh Road South residence to investigate a theft. It was alleged that a male that is a new roommate in this residence had stolen items from the house and locked himself in his room. Police arrived to find the male had barricaded his door from the inside.

There were also concerns the male may have a knife in the room. At 9:00 p.m., police were able to bring a successful completion to the incident. The 24-year-old male was apprehended and taken to hospital for a mental health assessment.
