Crime prevention tip

Guelph Police have noticed an increase in the amount of shed and/or garage entries, where items such as tools and bicycles are taken. Police are asking homeowners to stay vigilant when it comes to ensuring your garage door is closed and that your shed is locked.

Now that the weather is warming up, you may be doing some yard work. If you are in the backyard, make sure your garage door is closed. An open garage door creates the potential for a "crime of opportunity".

Please ensure you have a lock on your shed. A $5 lock could save you hundreds in property loss.
