Police Make Arrest in Relation to Infant Death from 2012

On Wednesday June 18th, 2014 Bobby Gregoire, 33 years of age, from Etobicoke was arrested by the Guelph Police in Toronto for 2nd degree Murder in relation to the death of his infant son. His son at the time of his death was 7 weeks old, and Gregoire was his caregiver.

Gregoire appeared in bail court on Thursday June 19th, 2014 and was remanded into custody with his next court appearance being July 3rd, 2014 at 36 Wyndham Street S., Guelph.

This investigation began on Tuesday August 21st, 2012, at approximately 5:11 a.m., when the Guelph Police, GWEMS, and Guelph Fire, attended to a Julia Drive address in Guelph, Ont., in response to a seven week old infant who was vital signs absent.

First responders were able to revive the infant who was then transported to the Guelph General Hospital for medical treatment. The infant was then airlifted to McMaster Children's Hospital in Hamilton. On Wednesday August 22nd, 2012, at 4:29 p.m., the infant was pronounced dead at McMaster Hospital.
